Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 62 runs in the first T20 International of the three match T20 series.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India batting first smashed 199 runs at the loss of just 2 wickets and then managed to restrict Sri Lanka on 137 runs.
Ishan Kishan was awarded with Player of the match for an amazing half century knock of 89 runs of 56 balls.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar had the best bowling figures for Team India as he grabbed 2 wickets for 9 runs in his 2 over spell.

Rohit Sharma returned to pavalion after scoring a good 44 runs of 32 balls.
Ishan Kishan was then joined by Shreyas Iyer in the middle to progress the scoreboard. Ishan kept on firing blazing shots and joined a 44 runs partnership with Shreyas Iyer.
The partnership came to an end with Ishan Kishan’s magnificent knock of 89 runs of 56 balls. He lost his wicket to Dasun Shanaka in the 17th over.
Shreyas Iyer kept on firing blazing shots and smashed 44 runs in the remaining three overs of the Indian innings.
Iyer completed his half century and returned after scoring an unbeaten 57 runs of 28 balls.
Nissanka and Kamil Mishara came to open the Innings for Sri Lanka and chase the target.
The opening end came to an end before it started as Bhuvneshwar dismissed Nissanka on the very first delivery.
Kamil Mishara was then joined by Liyanage to progress the scoreboard.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar striked back in his very next over and this time it was Mishara and have the Lankan Lions their second blow and Sri Lanka were now 15 for 2 wickets in first three over.
