Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the third and final T20 International of the three match T20 series.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Team India managed to restrict Sri Lanka on the score of 146 at the loss of 5 wickets and then chased it with 6 wickets and 19 balls remaining.
Shreyas Iyer was awarded with player of the match award for smashing an amazing match winning half century of 73 runs of 45 balls.
Shreyas Iyer was also awarded with the player of the series award for his consistent batting performance throughout the three matches.
India faces Early Hiccups
Lankan Lions lost their top three batsmen on the score of 11 by the fourth over itself and were on backfoot now.
This was not done as Sri Lanka lost another wicket in the 9th over and on the score of 29 to Ravi Bishnoi and he dismissed Liyanage on the score of 9 of 19 balls.

The sole fighter from Sri Lankan side was Dasun Shanaka who smashed an Crucial half century for his side.
He scored an unbeaten 74 of just 38 balls and helped his side reach a respectable total of 146 runs.
Sri Lanka now had a chance to fight back and try to avoid a complete white wash against Team India in the T20 series.
It is a hard thing to defend such a low score against a Indian batting line-up but they have to try their best.

Rohit Sharma and Sanju Samson came to open the Indian innings and chase the target.
The Indian Opening stand came to an end in the second over itself on the score of 6 runs with the departure of Rohit Sharma on the score of 5 runs.
Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer did join 45 runs but failed to took it any further as India lost Sanju Samson in the 7th over on the score of 18 of 12 balls.
Both Indian openers returned to pavalion after scoring low scores and giving Sri Lanka their first two breakthroughs.
