Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 62 runs in the first T20 International of the three match T20 series.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India batting first smashed 199 runs at the loss of just 2 wickets and then managed to restrict Sri Lanka on 137 runs.
Ishan Kishan was awarded with Player of the match for an amazing half century knock of 89 runs of 56 balls.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar had the best bowling figures for Team India as he grabbed 2 wickets for 9 runs in his 2 over spell.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar striked back in his very next over and this time it was Mishara and have the Lankan Lions their second blow and Sri Lanka were now 15 for 2 wickets in first three over.
Team India kept on getting breakthroughs on regular intervals and restricted Lankan Lions on a really low score.
First Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave Lankan Lions early blow in the start of the innings, not allowing them have a great start for a big chase.
Venkatesh Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal followed his lead and gave India quick breakthroughs on regular intervals.
Iyer grabbed two crucial wickets and Jadeja and Chahal grabbed one wicket each to end their bowling spell.
Team India used a total of seven bowlers that included Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Chahal, Jadeja, Venkatesh Iyer and Deepak Hooda.

The most highlight moment of the match came in the 10th over of the Sri Lankan innings when Jadeja dismissed Chandimal.
Sir Jadeja while batting use his iconic sword celebration but this time it was a bit different, he did that Pushpa movie trademark move after grabbing the wicket.
Jadeja has done that in one of his reels too but doing it on the field after grabbing a wicket is what made it more iconic.
