Team India defeated West Indies by 17 runs in the third and final T20 of the three match T20 series to win the series by 3-0.
West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India batting first scored 184 runs at the loss of 5 wickets and then restricted Windies on 167 at the loss of 9 wickets.
Surya Kumar Yadav was awarded with player of the match award for smashing an amazing and crucial half century of 65 runs of just 31 balls.
Surya Kumar Yadav was also awarded with the player of the series award for spectacular batting performance throughout the three matches.
Deepak Chahar’s Spell
The skipper returned to pavalion after scoring just 7 runs of 16 balls on Dominic Drakes’ delivery.
Now it was all up on the shoulders of Surya Kumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer and they did not disappoint.
Both of them joined a magnificent partnership of 91 runs during the end of the innings and helped Team India reach 184.
Surya Kumar Yadav got out on the last ball of the innings after scoring 65 of just 31 balls and Venkatesh Iyer returned unbeaten on 35 runs of just 19 balls.
Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope came to open the West Indies innings and chase the target.
The opening stand came to an end in the first over itself as Deepak Chahar dismissed Kyle Mayers on the score of 6 of just 5 balls.

This was not it for the Windies as Deepak Chahar was not done yet, he dismissed Shai Hope in his very next over on the score of 8 runs of 4 balls.
Deepak Chahar’s stint in the third T20 came to an end here, as he injured his hamstring during the run-up and failed to complete his second over.
The medic was on the ground and they decided to take Deepak Chahar off the field and rest of his overs were completed by Venkatesh Iyer. Deepak Chahar grabbed two big wickets in his 11 ball spell.
