Team India defeated West Indies by 17 runs in the third and final T20 of the three match T20 series to win the series by 3-0.
West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India batting first scored 184 runs at the loss of 5 wickets and then restricted Windies on 167 at the loss of 9 wickets.
Surya Kumar Yadav was awarded with player of the match award for smashing an amazing and crucial half century of 65 runs of just 31 balls.
Surya Kumar Yadav was also awarded with the player of the series award for spectacular batting performance throughout the three matches.
Surya vs Pooran
It was all up on the shoulders of Surya Kumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer and they did not disappoint.
Both of them joined a magnificent partnership of 91 runs during the end of the innings and helped Team India reach 184.

Surya Kumar Yadav got out on the last ball of the innings after scoring 65 of just 31 balls and Venkatesh Iyer returned unbeaten on 35 runs of just 19 balls.
Nicholas Pooran was joined by Rovman Powell and both of them were looking forward to do something similar to what they did in the second T20.
Pooran first joined 47 runs partnership with Powell then a 48 runs partnership with Romario Shepherd.
He before his departure in the 18th over smashed his third half century of the T20 series and brought his side closer to the victory.

Pooran is the only batsman to smash half century in all the three matches of the T20 series. He got out after scoring 61 runs of 47 balls.
Nicholas Pooran was a really big contender for the player of the series award but his team failed to win even a single match.
Surya Kumar Yadav only had one half century and one thirty plus score so it is debatable if he was worthy of the award or not.
