One Day International is a form of limited overs cricket which is played between two teams. The first ODI was played between Australia and England in January 1971.
It is a late 20th century development and India sits on top of the list of most ODI wins between 2010 and 2019.
An ODI match has one innings per team and an inning concludes if the batting team is all out or exhausts the 50 overs of play.
India on Tuesday created history after defeating Australia at Gabba in over three decades.
Indian victory at Gabba proved to be a collective effort of team India. Even without the presence of Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, it remained a promising feast.
