England international Jos Buttler scored his maiden IPL ton on Sunday. In the battle of the bottom dwellers, Rajasthan Royals took on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Delhi. Batting first, Buttler struck a scintillating 100* off 56 balls. He flattened the SRH bowlers as he hit 10 fours and five sixes in his innings. Buttler became the fourth English batsman to struck a hundred in IPL.
Hyderabad on the other hand dropped David Warner after naming Kane Williamson their captain on Saturday. Williamson sent the Royals to bat first. Rajasthan got the start they were missing for so long.
Buttler singlehandedly flattened the SRH bowling attack. Yashasvi Jaiswal departed for 12. Sanju Samson came in and gave Buttler the much needed support. Samson and Buttler kneaded a 150 runs partnership. Samson fell short of his fifty by two runs.
However, Buttler continued his onslaught as he struck the ball quite good. He went on to score 124 where he belted 11 fours and 8 sixes. He struck at 193. Rajasthan finished their innings on 220.
