Last updated:

Royal Challengers Banglore is up against Chennai Super Kings in today’s IPL action.

CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal came into open the innings for RCB.

Both Virat and Padikkal came into the game with a different intent today, both of them were playing with the positive approach.

Match Summary

CSK won the toss and offered RCB and company to bat first.

Both Padikkal and Kohli started in an aggressive manner and finished 55/0 in the first batting powerplay.

By the first of the innings, Virat and Padikkal joined 90 runs for the team without any loss.

It was seeming as if, RCB will finish with more than 200 runs on board. Both Padikkal and Kohli completed their half centuries.

Bravo gave CSK the first break through in form of the skipper himself. Virat got out after scoring 53 runs of 41 balls.

After that it was all CSK. CSK bowlers got wickets on small intervals and managed to stop RCB on a score of 156, which was earlier seeming to be double ton score.

RCB lost no wickets before the 14th over and 111 runs but before finishing the inning, they could only manage to put 156 runs on board at the loss of 6 wickets.

RCB really need to work hard if they want to stop CSK batting from achieving the target.

Considering CSK batting line-up, the score doesn’t seem much to offer them difficulty.

The second innings is about to start soon.
