IPL 2021: T Natarajan test Covid positive, is in isolation with 6 others

IPL 2021 is set to feature the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.

T Natarajan tested covid positive in the scheduled, RT-PCR Test. He is currently out the of match and has been isolated.

He is currently Asymptomatic.

Six other people from the squad, who were identified to be in close contact with the player are also placed into isolation.

The six names includes the all rounder, Vijay Shankar, the Team Manager, Logistics Manager, Physiotherapist, Doctor and a net bowler.

All 6 of them have tested negative, but are still placed in isolation as precautionary measures.

Effect on Match

The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals is still On and will be played at Dubai International stadium.

This may not have any effect on the match or tournament whatsoever but, Sunrisers Hyderabad who are currently at the bottom of the points table, needs to worry.

Both T Natarajan and Vijay Shankar will not only be missing today’s match but also the upcoming matches.

Both of them are two key members of the squad and their loss will effect the team and it’s confidence.
