When it comes to the Indian Premier League, undoubtedly there have been no other consistent franchises like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. While Mumbai have won five out of eight IPL titles so far, Chennai have lifted the coveted trophy thrice.
While Mumbai is all geared up to achieve the unthinkable this year – to win three successive titles. On the other hand, last season’s underperformer Chennai, under MS Dhoni’s captaincy will be poised to lift their fourth title.

New Season – New Challenges
For Mumbai, they have retained almost the entire playing XI from their last season. Their major plus point has been their consistent usage of players over a period of time. With almost no weaknesses, Mumbai’s only weakness perhaps is lack of good finger spinners. And a second Indian pacer who can act as a backup for Jasprit Bumrah.
In contrary, CSK, as a wounded lion are looking to stand back up on their feet. It will happen, soon. IPL’s most consistent team over the years, Chennai will be definitely eyeing their fourth title this year. With quality players in the line-up, and most importantly some fresh young bloods, might just give them the perfect start this year.
