IPL 2022 is currently the biggest cricketing topic in the world in spite of the fact that there are still months left in it.

BCCI announced 30th November to be the last date to submit retention list for all the franchises.

Teams have finally provided BCCI with their list of retained players.

Some decisions were surprising and two of such decisions were the release of KL Rahul and Rashid Khan by Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.

The other news that is that is surfacing during the retention period is that Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad has reached BCCI in order to complain against KL Rahul and Rashid Khan.

Why Rahul and Rashid might get banned

Punjab Kings management and Coach Anil Kumble himself tried convince KL Rahul to stay in the franchise but KL Rahul was too eager to go under the hammer.

The similar kind of situation was seen in the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s camp with Rashid Khan.

Reportedly, both KL Rahul and Rashid Khan were under talk with the new franchise of Lucknow before the retention deadline itself.

Both franchise reached BCCI in the matter and complained against their respective former player.

The franchises said that it was both wrong and immoral on behalf of the players to come in contact with other franchise way before the retention date.

The players immoral behaviour required correct action against them.

BCCI still haven’t made any clear calls in the matter but if they see KL Rahul and Rashid Khan guilty in any manner they can either fine them or in the worst case scenario ban them from participating in the IPL for the particular season.

It is still up to BCCI to make the final decision on the matter.
