Teams will have 2 matches against team of their group and one of the team of the second group and single matches against the rest of the members.
This method was last used in 2011, which was also the last time their were 10 teams in the IPL, Pune Warriors India and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
Mumbai and Pune are the only two venues for IPL this year. 3 stadiums from Mumbai and one from Pune.
20 matches in Wankhede Stadium and 20 matches in DY Patil Stadium of Mumbai. 15 matches in Brabourne Stadium Mumbai and 15 matches in MCA International Stadium Pune.
Chennai Super Kings is set to clash against Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match of the TATA IPL 2022.
They would be missing Moeen Ali in the first match as he is having some issues with his Visa and is still to arrive in India.
Although the great news for CSK is that Ruturaj Gaikwad who was also earlier set to miss the first match has now been cleared to play in the first match.
