Scoring a double century in a One Day International (ODI) match was unthinkable earlier.
However, Australia’s Belinda Clark was the first cricketer to achieve this record. She had scored 229* runs against Denmark on December 16, 1997.
Sachin Tendulkar was the first male cricketer in history to score 200 runs in an ODI match.
In a day-night encounter in Gwalior in 2010, he achieved the coveted milestone against the South African cricket team.
In the second ODI of the home series, the Master Blaster had attained this incredible milestone.
The record-breaking innings, which lasted 147 balls, was littered with 25 boundaries and also 3 maximums.
In ODI, ten cricketers have scored double centuries, it also include three Indian batsman.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is the only player in ODI history to score three double century.

Meanwhile, Chris Gayle holds the record for the fastest ODI double century. He also surpassed Virender Sehwag’s record.
Chris Gayle hit 200 runs in 138 balls, while Virender Sehwag did so in 140 balls.
