It’s interesting to note that sports related biopics have enjoyed the highest level of popularity.

For their biopic, some athletes have demanded exorbitant fees, while some have accepted nothing and others have only been given a pittance.

Here’s how much these athletes charged to let a biopic based on their lives to be made.

Milkha Singh

Milkha Singh famously charged Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra only Re. 1 for his biopic.

Despite the fact that the note was a rare one printed in 1958, the same year he won India’s first Commonwealth gold medal.

Milkha Singh also stated that money was not a priority for him, and that all he wanted Mehra to do was create a film that would encourage future generations to win gold for the country.

MS Dhoni

Dhoni’s character in the film was played by the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

This biopic, made on the life of former Indian cricket captain, was a great success at the box office.

Mary Kom of Manipur won the National Women’s Boxing Championship for the first time in 2001.

After this, Mary did not look back. Arjuna Award for Boxing, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Padmashree have been put in their prestigious awards.

According to a report by Midday, Mary Kom had taken 25 lakhs for her film.
