MS Dhoni’s parents test positive for COVID-19: Before the much-anticipated clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 on Wednesday, cricket fans were shocked to learn that MS Dhoni’s parents had contracted the novel coronavirus.

After testing positive for Covid19 on Wednesday, the former Indian captain MS Dhoni’s parents, father Pan Singh and mother Devika Devi, were admitted to a Pulse Superspeciality hospital in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

According to news agency ANI tweet, the level of oxygen content of the duo is currently within the prescribed limits.

“Parents of cricketer MS Dhoni have been admitted here at the hospital after testing positive for #COVID19. Their oxygen level is stable,” said the hospital.

Meanwhile in IPL, Dhoni is leading Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The team’s matches are going on at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. CSK will travel to Delhi for the next leg of the tournament after finishing their next two games.

Dhoni in his previous game, captained the side for the 200th time in this IPL season.
