Published Date:

West Indies clashing against Pakistan in the first T20 match of the three match series.

Windies were coming to tour without their skipper Kieron Pollard and three of their players including lead bowler Sheldon Cottrell were hit by coronavirus.

Pakistan lost their skipper Babar Azam in the first over giving Windies a great start.

Babar out on duck

West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan came to open the Innings for Pakistan. Akeal Hosein had the ball in his hand for the first over.

This was the same opening duo that did an unbeaten opening partnership against Team India and chased a 150 plus run target.

Pakistan defeated Team India by 10 wickets by the help of this duo.

Mohammad Rizwan scored the first run for the Pakistan Team by taking a single and bringing Babar Azam to strike.

Akeal Hosein on the fourth ball of the first over did the unthinkable as he dismissed Babar Azam.

Babar Azam failed to judge the ball correctly and the ball took an edge of his bat and Shai Hope caught it behind the wicket.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is the only batsman to get out on duck in all three formats in 2021.
