In men's singles, 2022 Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen also advanced into the final after defeating Japan's Shogo Ogawa in 42 minutes. Sen, ranked 18th in the world, was completely dominant throughout the match. He let out a few net dribbles by Ogawa, but he was not fazed and took the first game 21-12. In the second match, Ogawa showed some fight, but Sen took it home 21-18 to book his final spot.
In the finals, Sindhu will face Wu Luo Yu of China, who won her semi-final in straight games, while Sen will face Jia Heng Jason Teh from Singapore, who defeated Indian second seed Priyanshu Rajawat in a close encounter.
Sindhu and Sen will try to take home the title and earn another great victory in their careers. The Syed Modi International is one of the major tournaments for Indian shuttlers, and people are excited to see if the two shuttlers can clinch their respective titles in Lucknow.
