T20 World Cup: Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam stated that the team would like to begin their T20 World Cup campaign with a win over arch-rivals India on October 24.
When they meet in the T20 World Cup, the pressure will be on Virat Kohli’s India, according to Azam.
Babar stated after a meeting with Ramiz Raja, the Chairman-in-waiting of the Pakistan Cricket Board that “I think India will be under more pressure as compared to Pakistan during the World Cup match.
“We would like to start our campaign by defeating India.”
According to the International Cricket Council’s draws, the arch-rivals will meet in the T20 World Cup group stage in Dubai.
Both countries haven’t played cricket against each other since India’s World Cup victory in England in 2019.

“It is like playing at our home ground when we play at UAE venues and we want to give our 100 percent on the field coupled with that,” he added.
Babar was also happy with the ODI squad name for the next series against New Zealand, which has receive a lot of criticism from critics and former players.
According to Babar, a well-balanced group has selected for the series.
Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was dropped from the squad, while batters Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah were recalled.
“We are facing issues in the middle-order and this series is a good opportunity for players making a comeback to cement their place in the side,” he said.
