TATA IPL 2022, GT vs DC: Lockie Ferguson led GT bowling attack stuns Delhi’s strong batting

TATA IPL 2022 featured the 14 runs victory of Gujarat Titans over Delhi Capitals.

DC won the toss and elected to bowl first. GT managed to score 171 runs at the loss of 6 Wickets and then restricted DC on 157 runs at the loss of 9 wickets

Shubman Gill smashed a great half century knock and scored 84 runs of just 46 balls and helped GT.

Lockie Ferguson garbbed four big wickets in his four over spell for just 28 runs and lead the GT bowling attack.

Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya joined a crucial 65 runs partnership and eet the base for their innings.

Shubman Gill kept on progressing the scoreboard following Hardik Pandya’s departure in the 14th over.

Gill completed his first half century of the season and helped GT reach a respectable total in the first innings.

GT lost Tewatia and Gill in the death overs and as a result could only manage to score 171 runs in the 20 overs.

Prithvi Shaw and Tim Seifert came to open the innings for DC and chase the target.

DC lost their first wicket in the fourth over itself and then Lockie Ferguson gave them two blows in the fifth over.

The only partnership that was formed by Delhi batsmen was the 61 runs partnership between Lalit Yadav and Rishabh Pant.

Lockie Ferguson striked two more wickets in a single over and totally turned the tables on Delhi Capitals.

Shami did the same in the 18th over and ensured his side’s victory and GT won the match by 14 runs.
