DC won the toss and invited GT to bat first. Matthew Wade and Shubman Gill came to open the Innings for GT.
GT lost Matthew Wade in the first over itself to Mustafizur Rahman on the score of just 1 and then Vijay Shankar on a low score in the seventh over.
Then Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya joined a crucial 65 runs partnership and set the base for their innings.
Shubman Gill kept on progressing the scoreboard following Hardik Pandya’s departure in the 14th over.
Gill completed his first half century of the season and helped GT reach a respectable total in the first innings.
GT lost Tewatia and Gill in the death overs and as a result could only manage to score 171 runs in the 20 overs.
