Pat Cummins grabbed the most wicket for KKR but gave almost 50 runs in the process of getting 2 wickets in four overs.

KKR won the toss and invited MI to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan came to open the Innings for MI.

The MI openers were struggling in the start and failed to counter the Knights bowling in the starting overs.
MI lost Rohit Sharma in the third over itself as he continued to struggle against Umesh Yadav and eventually lost his wicket to him after scoring just 3 runs of 12 balls.
Dewald Brevis did provide MI with the early blitz but his quick cameo ended in the 8th over itself and soon after that they lost Ishan Kishan on a low score.

Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma joined a crucial 83 runs partnership and helped the falling MI innings take a stand.
Surya smashed a crucial half century before his departure in the final over. Keiron Pollard gave the last push to the MI innings as he smashed 22 runs of just 5 balls and took the MI scoreboard to 161.
