DC won the toss and invited RR to bat first. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal came to open the innings for RR.
RR lost Jos Buttler in the third over itself and were in trouble but Jaiswal and Ashwin joined a crucial 43 runs partnership.
Ashwin then joined a 53 runs partnership and got out after scoring crucial 50 runs of 38 balls.
Devdutt Padikkal smashed 48 runs of 30 balls and helped his side reach a fighting total of 160 runs.
