UFC 272: Colby vs Masvidal, the fight ends but the bad blood lives on

UFC 272 is headlined by the biggest grudge match in the history of UFC, the clash of former brothers in arms Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal.

The former team mates, room mates and best friends turned enemy finally got the chance to settle their beef inside the Octagon.

The Co-main Event was a catch weight fight between Rafael dos Anjos and Renato Moicanon, who is coming in place of covid struck Rafael Fiziev.

The main card also featured fights between Kevin Holland and Alex Oliveira, the featherweight contest between Edson Barboza and Bryce Mitchell.

Colby vs Masvidal

RDA was up against Renato Moicano in a catch weight bout and absolutely dominated Moicano on the ground.

Renato came in with a heart of warrior and went up for a 5 round war and never gave up fighting, even when his back was against the ground.

The Refree, the commentary table, the doctor present all believed that Renato showed great heart and should quit not but he kept on fighting.

RDA grabbed an easy decision win but Renato earned tons of respect and made a name for himself.

In the main event, the much awaited, the biggest grudge match in the UFC history ended in unanimous decision victory for Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington.

The match was to be honest quite predictable and went on as Colby dominated the fight with his wrestling.

Masvidal eventually ran out of gas and failed to capitalise moments but Colby being an absolute genius of a fighter executed his strategy like he wanted to.

Colby won the match but the bad blood between Masvidal and him was and is far from over.
