Yes! You heard it right. The Australian pocket monster David Warner’s daughter is fond of the Indian Cricket Team’s captain Virat Kohli. Speaking to Triple M Sydney radio station, Candice Warner revealed their middle child’s favourite cricketer is none other than the Indian run machine.
David and Candice are proud parents of three daughters: Ivy-Mae (6), Indi-Rae (4) and Isla Rose (1). The southpaw’s better half was visibly livid when she said, “We do play a little bit of backyard cricket. The funny thing is my girls, sometimes they wanna be dad, sometimes they wanna be Finchy (Aaron Finch) but my middle child, she wants to be Virat Kohli. And I am not even joking, her favourite player is Virat Kohli. She is the rebel.”

Describing their backyard cricket routine, Candice quipped, “The kids blow up because he bowls bouncers to them and they are only like 6 and 4. They are like ‘dad no bouncers or don’t spin the ball’. The sledging still happens in the backyard.”
The Sunrisers Hyderabad captain had yet another stellar outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Warner’s Hyderabad concluded the campaign at the 3rd place. The men in orange, however, failed to make it to the finals after losing against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2.
Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore finished 4th after a consistent performance in this year’s IPL in Dubai. They were outclassed by Warner’s SRH in the Eliminator and as a result failed to make it to the finals.
And if you are upset about the IPL being over, don’t worry. Warner and Kohli will once again lock horns in the upcoming series down under. Kohli’s Team India has been scheduled to tour Australia to play three ODIs, three T20Is and four Tests.
