In less than year Virat is no longer a skipper for any kind of format or team.

Virat before beginning of T20 World Cup announced his decision to step down as the T20 Captain of India.

This decision was followed by his decision to step down as the skipper of the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Virat wanted to continue as the ODI Skipper and Test Skipper but BCCI decided to limit him to the longest format of the game.

This did lead to little beef between Virat and BCCI which was not visible naked eyes but its existence could not be denied.
