MS Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings of the Indian Premier League, is taking use of his time away from the game.
The former India captain last played professional cricket during the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, which was cancelled due to Covid.
While fans will have to wait a few more months to see Dhoni on the pitch, his wife Sakshi shared a video on Instagram on Saturday in which the former India captain can be seen racing a pony at his Ranchi farm.
“Stronger faster ! #playtime #shetlandpony #racing,” Sakshi captioned the video.
Sakshi had previously posted a video of Dhoni rubbing and playing with his horse, which she had uploaded last month.
Dhoni is an animal lover who owns at least four dogs.
Sakshi has now released video of two horses, indicating that he likes horses.
She had welcomed a horse named Chetak into her pack in May. “Welcome Home Chetak! A genuine Gentleman esp when you met Lilly!” she had said on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Dhoni will return to the pitch in the third week of September, with the BCCI confirming that the second phase of the IPL 2021 will be held from September 19 to October 15.
The competition will restart in the United Arab Emirates, which hosted the IPL 2020.
Before the season was delayed owing to COVID-19 cases in various camps, Dhoni was heading Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Dhoni’s CSK are in second position with five victories from seven games.
After the season, the experienced India star is expected to make a decision on his IPL career.
