The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video on Twitter revealing the dish that the Indian limited-overs cricket squad enjoys the most as they prepare for their forthcoming tour to Sri Lanka.
The video was captioned, “Yummy Video Alert Face savoring food. The Sunday Food Fix! Pot of food. Presenting Mock Duck – the veggie delight that’s the current hot favorite of #TeamIndia Man cook – by @ameyatilak #SLvIND.”
Shikhar Dhawan, the captain of the Indian cricket team on tour in Sri Lanka, was heard chatting about the meal at the start of the video.
Dhawan said, “Here, a dish known as Mock Duck is prepared. That’s my favorite, but how is it prepared? Let’s see.”
Chef Rakesh Kamble of Mumbai’s Grant Hyatt conducted a tour of the kitchen where the Mock Duck is prepared.
He also stated that this dish is a “hot favourite” of wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson, while Shikhar Dhawan has recently developed a taste for it.
The Pandya brothers, Hardik and Krunal, order the Mock Duck once or twice every three or four days, according to Kamble.
The Indian team is currently in Mumbai ahead of their tour of Sri Lanka.
Between July 13 and July 25, they will play three ODIs and three T20Is.
While Dhawan will captain a revamped Indian team on the tour, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will serve as his deputy.
The Indian Test team, on the other hand, lost by eight wickets to New Zealand in the WTC final.
