BCCI has decided to appoint Rohit Sharma as the successor of Virat Kohli in the white ball Cricket as he is the newest full time ODI skipper of the Indian Cricket Team.
Rohit Sharma took over the T20 captaincy following the T20 World Cup after Virat Kohli stepped out as the T20 skipper.
BCCI thought it is better to have a single white ball skipper rather than two and create ruckus in the team.
The decision was the end of Virat Kohli’s current stint as the white ball skipper, while he continue to lead Team India in the longest format of the game.
