Pakistan has been the epicenter of anything controversial and things are not very much different even when it comes to the field of sports.
They were banned to host any International Cricket match after the disgraceful and heinous attack on the Sri Lankan team back in 2009.
Pakistan was supposed to host the 2011 Cricket World Cup along with India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh but was excluded because of the terror history.
It was 1996, the last time Pakistan hosted an ICC tournament. He co-hosted the 1996 Cricket World Cup along with India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
After more than two decades, ICC have considered the name of Pakistan for being a host of an ICC tournament once again in form of Champion’s Trophy 2025 but yet again things went controversial for Pakistan.
Why Pakistan might not host the Champion’s Trophy?
ICC recently announced the schedule for the ICC Tournaments of the upcoming decades. The announced 14 host countries for the 8 ICC tournaments from 2023 to 2031.

After more than 20 years, Pakistan received an opportunity to host an ICC Tournament and provided Pakistan fans a moment to cherish.
But things may not go as planned as they thought it would. There have been countless disagreement and appeal to ICC to reconsider their very recent decision.
Pakistan opened up as a host of International Cricket once again but countries and Big teams like England and New Zealand refused to take part of their Pakistan tour after the series being announced due security reasons.

One thing is clear that nations have still not overcame the past horrors that land of Pakistan hold.
According to some sources Indian representatives have also showed their dissent in the matter to highest executive and governing body of the sport.
Some of the internal sources from ICC even stated that “If the dissent continue, they might have to amend their current plans for Pakistan and Champion’s Trophy 2025”.
The things are only going to get harder for Pakistan from here but only time will reveal their fate.
