WWE Raw paved a blockbuster opening for the WWE Special Extreme Rules in two weeks’ time. On Monday the WWE championship match between The Almighty Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton turned out to be a sure hit.
The show was kicked off by RKBRO and Bobby Lashley with MVP, but the main attraction was the Mr. Money in the Bank, Big E.
Big E made it clear that he will cash it on anybody that walks out champion after the match.
As the segment was moving forward Bobby Lashley got into an argument with Big E, and Randy took the chance to hit Bobby Lashley with an RKO to end the opening promo.
Other Matches and Highlight
Raw again did feature a few great match up, featuring two title matches.
Damian Priest beat Jeff Hardy in the United States championship Open Challenge to retain the title. After the match, Sheamus attack both of them, but Damian Priest was able to retaliate it.
Drew McIntyre with the Viking Raiders defeated Jinder Mahal, Veer and Shanky. Drew claymore Shanky to grab the win.
Charlotte defeated Shayna Baszler in a Raw Women’s championship contender match, Nia Jax distracted her partner and Charlotte took advantage of it.
After the match Alexa Bliss arrived with a gift for the Queen. The gift was a doll resembling Charlotte named Charlie, later both get into a brawl and Alexa force the Queen to retreat.
AJ Styles, Omos, T-Bar and Mace defeated The New Day, Ali and Mansoor in a 8 man tag team match.
The Main Event
The main event was nothing but a good wrestling match, Randy Orton and Bobby Lashley were facing each other for the first time after 14 years.
Randy Orton tried his best to become the 15 time World Champion, but fate wasn’t with him. MVP’s distraction allowed Bobby Lashley to hit Randy with a Spear to retain the title.
After the match, Bobby Lashley completely decimated the Raw tag team champions RKBRO, until Big E came in with his Money In the Bank contract.
Big E cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on the already tired Bobby Lashley and pinned him to win his first ever WWE Championship.
Later he was joined by his friends form the New Day faction in his celebrations.
