Life without a smartphone is no longer imaginable. Most of us have smartphones, whether it’s an Apple or Android device, and they are now an integral part of our lives. Here are some settings you probably didn’t know about:
Save battery

Most of us often face battery drain. To save battery, use a solid or black background for your screen, which will disallow automatic pixel highlighting and you will find that your device will stay charged much longer.
Block all ads

You get option to block all your ads in the different apps you use. The easiest way to keep them at bay is to activate airplane mode. It works great on iOS and Android. However, you cannot make or receive calls when this mode is activated.
Activate guest mode

There are times when you have to give your phone to someone else. It can be a family member or a friend.
You can use guest mode on your Android phone and nobody will be able access your personal data. To enable it, you will need to tap on the user icon in the upper right corner of the quick settings panel. Then tap Guest.
Screen magnifier

Just go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Magnification Gestures. With this option, you can magnify any part of the screen just by touching it.
Take photos while recording videos

On iPhone and Android devices, you don’t need to stop recording when you want to take a photo. All you have to do is press the camera button that appears with the shutter button on the screen. And that’s it!
No reject button

Apple users do not get an option to reject a call and it happens a lot of times? If your phone is locked during a call, you will get a slider and not a reject button. However, if your phone is not locked, you will also see the Decline button as well.
keyboard and mouse

You can connect a keyboard and mouse to your phone. All you need is a USB cable to go. This can be a useful tip in case your display is ruined.
