The Apple App Store has added three new digital payment options – united payments interface (UPI), RuPay and net banking. Moreover, Apple has also added these three payment modes to iTunes. Previously, Apple only had credit cards and debit cards.
Apple made this announcement via a notification which read: “New ways to pay for content you love. You can now use UPI, RuPay cards, and net banking to pay on the App Store.” Apple has also set up a dedicated page detailing how users can set up any of the new methods.
According to Apple, users must have the latest version of iOS, iPadOS and or macOS in order to see the new payment modes.
How to add new payment method on iOS and iPadOS
-Go to ‘Settings’ on your device
-Tap on the ‘Apple ID’ option
-Choose the ‘Payment and Shipping’ option

-Sign in to your Apple ID
-Then, tap on ‘Add Payment Method’
-Now, follow the instructions to add a new payment method
-If you want to reorder or remove a payment method, you can tap on the ‘Edit’ option

-Go to the App Store
-Click on sign-in
-Tap on the ‘View Information’ option
-Find and click on the ‘Manage Payments’ option

-Sign in to your Apple account
-Then, click on ‘Add a payment method’
-Next, select the ‘Add Payment’ option
-Follow the steps to add a new payment method
