The American tech giant Apple is rumoured to be working on introducing a foldable iPad soon. The Verge, a well-known American technology news website, published a tweet from supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in their coverage on this story. According to Kuo, the launching of the foldable iPad will significantly enhance the product mix and increase Apple’s total shipments. Kuo has indicated his support for the device.
Several technological geeks and Apple fans have expressed enthusiasm in response to Kuo’s tweet, which was published on Monday. The tweet from Kuo appears to give some validity to the numerous theories and conjectures that have been made about the foldable iPad in previous years. If the foldable iPad is introduced to consumers as early as next year, it will signify a significant achievement for Apple and have a significant impact on the tablet industry.
Features and specs we hope to see :
OLED displays and slightly larger diagonals—11″ will become 11.1″, and a 13.1″ device will replace the 12.9″ model—are features of the upcoming iPad Pro devices, by several sources. Even a 16″ iPad may be coming, from December, but we’ll have to wait and see.
A 20.25″ foldable display has also been reported, which would be enormous and uncomfortably large for a hand-held device.
Experts opinions :
In early 2024, when mass manufacturing of the redesigned iPad Mini is expected to start, Kuo believes it will join it. The predicted iPad foldable would apparently include a “carbon fibre” kickstand made by the Chinese component manufacturer firm Anjie Technology, according to Kuo, who didn’t provide many other specifics.
According to The Verge, Display Supply Chain Consultant expert Ross Young predicted a delivery date of 2024 for the final important foldable iPad forecast.
He said that Apple is developing a foldable iPad/MacBook hybrid with an approximately 20-inch folding screen, but he forecast that it won’t be available for purchase until 2026.
Later, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg stated that Apple was considering a foldable tablet with two screens. The bottom half of the display will act as a virtual keyboard when the gadget is utilised as a clamshell, just like the MacBook, he added.
