Battlegrounds Mobile India: PUBG Mobile India officially renamed. What next?

Amid a lot of buzz and speculations around the re-launch of PUBG Mobile in India, here is a good news for the all the Indian fans. The official website for Battlegrounds Mobile India is now live. Hence, it is now clear that the popular game is returning to India.

In November, PUBG Corporation had announced that PUBG Mobile will make a comeback to India. However, there was no word about the launch date.

Last month, a video on the official YouTube channel for PUBG Mobile India surfaced. It confirmed that the game will see a launch in India. Moreover, a creative banner was also leaked recently, revealing that the game will now be named as Battlegrounds Mobile in India.

The official website is now live and says “Coming Soon”, which clearly suggests that the game could come to India anytime soon.

The webpage also mention the official YouTube channel for Battlegrounds Mobile India. However, you will find only a 10 second teaser video, which again says “Coming Soon”. Notably, you will not find the mention of PUBG anywhere on the website but you can see the mention of “Krafton”, the parent company of PUBG.

However, there is still no mention about the launch date and all we can see till now is “Coming Soon”, and we have been hearing this since long. So, we will still have to wait for official announcement.

What the website says?

“KRAFTON, the South Korean video game developer, today announced the reveal of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA. Developed by KRAFTON, the game will offer a world class AAA multiplayer gaming experience on mobile. BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA will release with exclusive in-game events like outfits and features and will have its own esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues. The game will launch as a free-to-play experience on mobile devices.”

“BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA, a battle royale experience, will have a period of pre-registration before the launch. The game will be available to play only in India. KRAFTON will collaborate with partners to build an esports ecosystem while bringing in-game content regularly, starting with a series of India specific in-game events at launch, to be announced later.”

“With privacy and data security being a top priority, KRAFTON will be working with partners, to ensure data protection and security, at each stage. This will ensure privacy rights are respected, and all data collection and storage will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in India and for players here.”

“We believe, that at this time, more than ever, your health and safety are a paramount priority. We urge each one of you as super players, to stay safe, stay at home and wear a mask.”
