The ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, Asus’ most recent high-end gaming smartphones, were released back in July of last year, and now they have received the Android 13 upgrade.
This comes after the identical update was previously applied to Asus’ non-gaming Zenfone 9, Zenfone 8, and Zenfone 8 Flip, as promised by the firm last November when it published its update timetable. The first device to experience Android 13 was the Zenfone 9 in December. Its predecessors followed in mid-January, and it appears that February is ROG month.
The updated build, which includes Android 13, is known as 33.0610.2810.72 for both the ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro. It could take a few days for it to reach all of the devices out there. If you don’t mind waiting, you may manually check for new software by navigating to Settings > System > System updates.
It’s worth noting that if you ever want to go back to Android 12, you’ll have to erase all of your data, so make a backup before updating to Android 13.
