Elon Musk denies accusations of tweet boosts and plans to take legal action

Published Date:

Several Twitter users claimed a few days ago that their feed was overrun with posts from Elon Musk. According to some sources, Musk organised the whole event and it was neither an accident or the result of a weakness in the system. Musk, on the other hand, is now irritated with an employee who divulged his secrets to the news website Platformer. He also stated that Twitter will take action against employees who distribute false information against him.

According to the Platformer, Musk got dissatisfied with the performance of his tweets on Twitter, so he pressed the platform’s programmers to develop a way to promote his tweets to the platform’s user base. Twitter used code to artificially promote Musk’s tweets in order to answer Musk’s grievances.

Reacting to the charges made by the Platformer, Musk said, “The ‘source’ of the false Platformer piece is a disgruntled employee who had been on paid time off for months, had already taken a job at Google and felt the need to poison the well on the way out. Twitter will file a lawsuit against him.” He did not, however, provide the identify of the employee who attempted to smear his reputation. Casey Newton, who wrote the Platformer research, told Business Insider that Musk’s claims are false.

“Elon’s tweet is entirely false. “We stand by what we reported,” Newton said.

According to the Platformer report, Twitter designed a “power user multiplier” scheme exclusively for Elon Musk. This method causes Elon Musk’s posts to appear more frequently and to a larger number of people than they would for a regular user. Twitter essentially engineered it so that Elon Musk’s tweets get viewed by far more people than other people’s tweets.

Concerning Musk’s shenanigans, a Platformer employee stated that Musk manipulates the platform to compel interaction on all users. “He bought the company, made a point of displaying what he claimed was broken and manipulated under previous management, then turns around and manipulates the platform to impose interaction on all users to hear only his voice. I don’t think we can anymore believe that he genuinely cares about everyone here,” he remarked.
