Facebook is launching ads globally on its Reels, the company said on Thursday. Facebook is now aiming to make money from its reels feature. It began testing Instagram Reels ads in India, Brazil, Germany and Australia in April.
The tests ran with brands such as BMW, Louis Vuitton, Netflix and Uber. Since Reels is a great way for people to discover new content on Instagram, so ads are a natural fit.
Facebook said that Reels ads, which will loop and can be up to 30 seconds long, will appear between individual Reels.
Earlier there were reportst that Instagram is planning to launch Bonuses, a new feature that will allow users to make money by creating reels.
Therefore, users will get paid whenever they upload any new reel on the platform. The company is yet to disclose the criteria for reels. However, according to the reports, only those who have a good audience and upload volume would be able to access the monetization option.
