Facebook may not be as popular as other social media platforms today, but its component, Facebook Messenger, is still regularly utilised by billions. It was previously part of Facebook, but was later marketed as a standalone app. This enabled users who did not have a Facebook account to access the chat network.
While Messenger may not be as feature-rich as its competitors, it still provides all of the essentials, including as chat, SMS support, voice/video calling, and more. Meta is now bringing Messenger’s fundamental improvements to its end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) chats. This means you may use the app’s features, such as chat themes, chat emoji reactions, and more, for end-to-end encrypted chats.
These functions were previously unavailable in Messenger’s end-to-end encrypted chats, but with the new upgrade, they are now available. Additionally, users will be able to create distinct group profile photographs for friends and coworkers. Link previews are now available in encrypted chats, which is another addition to the end-to-end encryption chat region. When you use the app and are online, a status indicator will display your contacts.
Chat Bubbles are also returning to Android. Bubbles make it easier to contact folks from the homescreen for those who missed the bus. Contacts with whom you are conversing are displayed in a floating bubble on your homescreen. You can start messaging right away by tapping on the bubble.
The update, which includes new functionality for Facebook Messenger end-to-end encrypted chats, has not yet been widely distributed, but Meta writes on its official blog that the feature will be released “gradually.”
