FAU-G: Some facts to know about the made-in-India PUBG rival

After the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile, nCore Games announced that it would launch FAU-G soon, an announcement which was also endorsed by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

The company had said FAU-G will honour the Indian armed forces. The game is expected to fill the void that PUBG Mobile has left in the Indian mobile gaming scene. The game was supposed to be launched in November, but it appears to have been delayed without any intimation from the company.

FAU-G was recently listed for pre-registration on the Google Play Store, which suggests that it can be available any time soon.

Though there has been no official world on the exact launch date for the game, but trailer, interviews, Google Play Store listing and more provide a lot of information about FAU-G.

Let’s take a look at the top five cool facts about FAU-G that you might not know.

1.  FAU-G is not a Battle Royale game, there will simply be episodes that players can play and see how the Indian Army works. However, in nCore games, a Battle Royale mode may be added as an update at a later date.

2. Vishal Gondal, co-founder of nCore Games, confirmed in a previous interview with indianexpress.com that the first episode of the game is based on the Galwan Valley incident. The rest of the episodes will be based on key incidents across the country.

3. Although the company has released a trailer dedicated to the Galwan Valley incident, it is not mentioned anywhere in the Play Store description of the game. The description reads: “High up on the peaks at India’s northern border, an elite fighting group protects the nation’s pride and sovereignty. It’s a daunting task, for the most courageous: The Fearless and United Guards. Join a special unit of FAU-G commandos on patrol in dangerous border territory. Come face-to-face with India’s enemies as you engage with hostile invaders on Indian soil.”

4. Gondal claims FAU-G is not just an opportunity after PUBG Mobile was banned in India. Instead, it’s an idea by Akshay Kumar that’s been in development since May. In addition to FAU-G, nCore Games is developing two other games, one of which is a cricket game and the other is a music game.
