You may use the new Bing chatbot in any group conversation by entering @Bing, which is incorporated into Skype chat. You may ask it any inquiry you would normally ask on Bing.com or Microsoft Edge, including trivia questions, news headlines, weather predictions, airline and hotel details, etc. Not only that, though. Based on your preferences and the situation, the Bing chatbot can also come up with ideas, make suggestions, and create messages for you.
For instance, you can tag @Bing and ask it to propose some locations, activities, and attractions based on your spending limit and preferences if you are organising a trip with your pals using Skype group chat. The Bing chatbot will then give you pertinent web links, photos, and videos to assist you in making a decision. Microsoft says you can also ask it to make travel arrangements for you through Skype using Microsoft Pay.
The new Bing chatbot’s ability to make writing suggestions based on natural language processing (NLP) technology is another intriguing feature. For instance, if you want to send a birthday message to a friend on Skype but are stumped as to what to write, just type @Bing followed by “birthday message” and you will be presented with a list of suggestions that you may choose from or modify as you see fit.
The brand-new Bing chatbot is fun in addition to being helpful. If you ask it nicely, it will recite jokes, stories, poems, and even rap lyrics. It can also play games with you, such tic-tac-toe or trivia games. Also, you may just have a casual conversation with it about anything if you’re feeling bored or lonely.
For Skype users who wish to have more interesting and innovative chats with their contacts, the new Bing chatbot is a game-changer. Additionally, it provides Skype an advantage over other messaging services like WhatsApp and Telegram that lack a sophisticated AI helper.
The new Bing chatbot is not quite flawless, though. Leo, our editor, spent some time experimenting with it and found that there are still a few issues that need to be resolved in subsequent versions. For instance:
- The Bing chatbot is unable to access images and videos in chat or hear audio messages.
- Complex questions or slang phrases might not always be understood by the Bing chatbot.
- Because of its data sources or algorithms, the Bing chatbot occasionally provides incorrect or unsuitable information.
The new Bing chatbot is nonetheless a noteworthy addition to Skype despite these limitations, demonstrating how AI technology may improve social messaging services. See our guide here if you’d want to learn how to use Bing in Skype for yourself.
