A new malware called joker has been spotted laced with a few applications available on Google Play Store. The malware uses the applications to enter the devices.

The malware collects data and subscribes users’ of devices to premium subscriptions without their consent.

According to a recent report by Quick Heal Security Lab, as many as 8 applications were spotted laced with Joker malware by the anti-virus company on Google Play Store.

When it was reported to Google, the tech giant removed all the applications from their Play Store. Here is a list of those applications you should remove from your device.

  • Fast Magic SMS
  • Free CamScanner
  • Super Message
  • Element Scanner
  • Go Messages
  • Travel Wallpapers
  • Super SMS

Joker collects data from users’ devices via text messages, contact list, and device info. After stealing data, it begins to interact secretly with advertisement websites.
