We all know that any big company of today would have been some small start-up. But what matters the most is a revolutionary start-up idea.

Since startups are considered the core of creativity, this is where all the innovation comes on the surface from, across different verticals and industries.

LinkedIn, on September 22, released its list of the top start-ups in India.

For measuring the same, LinkedIn also used four metrics: 1. Employment growth, 2. Engagement, 3. job interest and 4. attraction of top talent.

Below are the top 10 start-ups in India:


It is an e-learning start-up. Unacademy began in 2015 in Bengaluru. This start-up focuses on courses for the preparation of tests like UPSC, SSC, CAT, IIT JEE among others.


Udaan is an internet portal founded in Bengaluru, 2016. It enables B2B trading for small and medium businesses in India.

As per LinkedIn research, it has cornered 80 per cent of India’s B2B e-commerce market.


CRED is known for its quirky advertisements. These feature famous cricketers. CRED also claims to be a members-only credit card bill payment platform that rewards its members for paying bills on time. It began its journey in 2018 by Kunal Shah, CRED is popular for the flexibility it offers to its employees including unlimited offs.


It is an e-learning platform which is headquartered in Mumbai. upGrad offers a platform for upskilling. It manifestly calls itself a higher education company and claims to have built online programmes in collaboration with top universities and industry partners.


This is a payment gateway. Razorpay facilitates easy online transactions. It was founded in Bengaluru in 2014; Razorpay is increasingly becoming the platform of choice for online transactions.


Meesho is headquartered in Bengaluru. It is a social e-commerce company founded by IIT Delhi graduates Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal in 2015.

Also, Meesho allows small businesses and individuals to start their online stores via social networking platforms.

-Skyroot Aerospace

It was founded in 2018 in Hyderabad. Skyroot Aerospace is constructing technologies that offer reliable access to space.

The start-up is known to be testing a cryogenic engine that will run on cleaner-burning liquid natural gas.


boAt is India’s homegrown electronics brand. It took the audio market by storm by offering affordable products to Indians combined with quirky advertising.

-Urban Company

One can go here for all home and grooming solutions. Urban Company has made quite the waves over the last two years.

Also. Urban Company offered safe and affordable services to major Indian cities for anything like repairs, grooming, cleaning etc.

-AgniKul Cosmos

It is defence and space start-up.. AgniKul Cosmos builds launch vehicles to lift small satellites into low earth orbit. It was founded in Chennai in 2017.
