Published Date:

When your favourite street dog wasn’t in his normal location, have you ever felt helpless? One of the group may frequently wander off and disappear. Akshay Ridlan, a resident of Mumbai, could not locate Kalu in April 2020, despite feeding and playing with the dog every day.

Akshay Ridlan, a 23-year-old Mumbai-based engineer, has created a QR code that can be attached to animals, particularly community animals that are more vulnerable and prone to getting lost. In the event that they disappear from their locations, the QR code can aid in their recovery. Animal lovers love this latest breakthrough. Akshay Ridlan to learn more about the advantages of the QR code for animals.

Didn’t know about QR code ?

Akshay Ridlan also explain that a QR code is only an Adhar card for neighbourhood animals that may go missing or need to be moved by people.

“This QR code is essentially an animal version of the Aadhar card. Aadhar cards maintain track of general data, thus everytime this QR code is scanned, it will provide details about the animal that has been marked “Akshay Ridlan said.

Inspiring idea doesn’t have any limit

Many different things can inspire us. Some people draw motivation from the people they admire. Some people find inspiration in their friends and family. And your pet is the best buddy of all. Akshay was inspired by a stray puppy he met named Kalu.

“As a result of firecrackers, my dear friend Kalu, a stray, went missing in May 2020, inspiring me to start this cause. The worst feeling someone can have is losing their pet, “He claims.

He stated that the QR codes could be applied on any animal, regardless of size, and that they would function as a digital Aadhar card by giving the government access to the information. He claimed that it would be simpler for everyone to keep track of their personal, medical, and carer information.

This postgraduate in information technology came up with the concept of QR (Quick Response) codes, which can be accessed on a mobile device, as a result of digitalization and lockdown. Everyone was using their phones to scan codes for everything, Akshay says, “from making payments to accessing menus. It seemed to me to be the most practical approach.”

Akshay, who is currently employed as a deputy manager of data engineering at a finance organisation, claims he has always had a fondness for animals. He explains, “I have been working since the age of 18 to assist my mother and to feed dogs,” which is why he felt it was crucial to discover a workable solution affordable for people of all ages and income levels.

What should be happen at next level ?

Moreover, Akshay wants to export his idea. “In the west, pet registration is required by law. I’m thus really eager to advance it in other nations that value animal welfare “Akshay says.
