Microsoft announced that it is planning to replace Calibri as the default font on the MS Office 365 software suit.
It has also come up with five new typeface options. Microsoft in a statement says that it had commissioned five new fonts – Tenorite, Bierstadt, Skeena, Seaford, and Grandview.
“We’re excited to share these brand-new fonts with you today and would love your input. Head over to social and tell us your favorite,” the company said.
In 2007 Calibri had replaced Times New Roman as the default font on Microsoft products.
Microsoft also says that it would evaluate the five default typeface options over the next few months.
It also mentions that all the five fonts were available via the Cloud across Microsoft 365 apps and experiences.
