Nothing phone 2: BIS-certified, ready for launch in India

Published Date:

The second smartphone from Carl Pei’s Nothing could soon be released in India. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for Nothing Phone (2) may indicate a forthcoming launch.

The device, with the model number AIN065, has reportedly emerged on the BIS website, according to Indian tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. But no features of the device are disclosed in the listing. When the smartphone may launch in India is currently unknown. Nothing CEO Carl Pei announced at the just concluded MWC 2023 that the Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset. The Nothing Phone (2), according to Carl Pei, will be “more premium” than the original Nothing smartphone. He has also stated that the device will be sold in the US in upcoming year.

Expected storage of Nothing Phone (2)

The device may only come in one configuration with 12GB of RAM, according to rumours. 256GB of storage may be combined with it. A 5,000mAh battery could be inside the gadget.

The Nothing Phone will be replaced by the Nothing Phone (1). The smartphone includes a cutting-edge Glyph Interface. It is a novel method of communication that can cut down on screen time. 900 LEDs are used to create distinctive light patterns that display information such as charging status, app notifications, and caller identification.

Expected camera characteristics of Nothing phone (2)

It has a dual camera setup with two cutting-edge 50 MP sensors on the rear, with the flagship Sony IMX766 powering the primary camera. The phone also has Scene Detection, which automatically recognises what one is shooting and recommends the optimal settings for the shot. Night Mode is another function.

Expected screen ratio and display of Nothing phone (2)

AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate is anticipated for the smartphone. The 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display on the Nothing Phone (1) has an adjustable refresh rate that ranges from 60Hz to 120Hz. Both the front and back of the device are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and HDR10+. The mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ octa-core processor is not found in any smartphones.
