After its in-app vaccine finder service, Paytm has now introduced vaccine slot booking. With the launch of the new feature, Paytm now allows its users to search, discover and reserve their vaccination slots for Covaxin and Covishield at the nearest center via the Paytm app.
Vaccine Finder
Paytm had launched Vaccine Finder tool within the app in May, when the vaccination opened to everyone in the country. The Vaccine Finder app offers filtering options that helps the users generate leads to book vaccines, including information such as the vaccine type, availability and its fee.
The company said users have been checking the availability of vaccination slots through the app for the past few weeks.
Users across the country can complete their vaccination process, thanks to the slot booking option on the Paytm app.
Co-Win integration
The Paytm app uses Co-Win integration to collect data on vaccination centers. Users must register with their number and can find centers using the PIN code or the name of the district. They will then need to choose their age range and find the first or second dose.
“It is our endeavor to help India come out of this pandemic a lot stronger. Our vaccine finder will help citizens seamlessly book slots at the nearest center and get vaccinated,” the company’s spokesperson said.
Paytm’s COVID-19 relief measures
The new service is one of the steps the company has taken as part of its COVID-19 relief efforts.
As part of its #OxygenForLife initiative, the Paytm Foundation donated oxygen concentrators and is also building oxygen plants in government hospitals across India.
