PUBG Mobile India launch teaser posted on YouTube, then deleted

What’s cooking? Is PUBG Mobile India going to be re-launched soon? Well, adding to the curiosity of all the fans in India, PUBG Mobile India launch teaser video was posted briefly on the official YouTube channel. However, the video was later removed. But some eager fans of the game managed to watch the six-second video.

PUBG Mobile fans in India have been eagerly waiting for the relaunch of the game ever since it was banned by the Indian government.

PUBG Mobile India was first teased back in November 2020, leaving its fans all excited. However, the fans were left disappointed following several delays and it has no official launch date yet.

What did the teaser video reveal?

As per reports, the teaser video did not reveal the launch date of PUBG Mobile India but suggested that the game is coming soon. However, they have been saying this since long.

But the teaser video indicates that PUBG Mobile India may actually be launched soon. Moreover, back in March, it was reported that PUBG Mobile India has received the government’s nod to launch in India.

About PUBG Mobile India

The government had banned PUBG Mobile in India following which an Indian version of PUBG Mobile was announced in November 2020.

The official account of PUBG Mobile India had said earlier that the game will adhere to the local government laws.

It was reported that Krafton, the parent company, has inked an agreement with Microsoft to use the Azure cloud services for storing the data of players in order to meet Indian government’s concerns over privacy.

The game will also get some changes to meet Indian needs. There will be more localised content which will be in-line with India. Moreover, some violent effects such as the blood effect will also be toned down.

Krafton had said that an Indian subsidiary with over 100 employees will also be set up in order to boost the esports ecosystem in India and local game development. PUBG Corp will invest around 100 million dollar to help esports scene in India.

Why PUBG Mobile was banned in India?

The government of India has banned PUBG Mobile game under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act because the app has engaged in activities that undermine sovereignty and integrity, defense and security of India.

India had banned PUBG Mobile, along with other Chinese apps, back in September.
