A new teaser in Spain has confirmed the imminent launch of a Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, while Xiaomi has confirmed the use of a Qualcomm chip.
While the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is among the best smartphones under Rs 20,000, Xiaomi is apparently looking forward to include 5G in the Redmi Note series.
What the leaked poster reveals?
Tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared a teaser image, which reveals a yet-to-be-released Xiaomi poster. And it provides us a glimpse of an upcoming Redmi smartphone with 5G connectivity.
However, the design of the phone is similar to that of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 4G versions. These versions are already selling globally since March. The poster also mentions about a Qualcomm 5G chip.
If rumours are to be believed, Xiaomi is using the Snapdragon 750G chip for the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G.
Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G coming soon?
A 5G variant of the standard Redmi Note 10 is already being sold in some markets. However, the Pro models are yet to get 5G.
Xiaomi is selling majority of its phones with 5G support as Mi phones, and Redmi is yet to launch a 5G phone in India. The upcoming smartphone could be the first mainstream Redmi 5G phone for the Indian market.
Snapdragon 750G chip
Since the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has borrowed many components from the Mi 10i, the 5G versions are expected to use the latter’s Snapdragon 750G chip. The regular 4G version packs high-end features such as a 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 5000mAh battery, and a glass body.
We have seen the Snapdragon 750G on Xiaomi Mi 10i and Moto G 5G. Not only does the chip support 5G, it is almost as powerful as the Snapdragon 765G chip and can also do mobile gaming smoothly.
The Snapdragon 750G against the Snapdragon 732G on the 4G version will indeed be a major performance upgrade for the Redmi Note 10 series.
