We confirmed earlier today that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be made public during an event in China on March 28. This will be the world’s first smartphone to feature the recently revealed Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. This is by far the most powerful 7-series Snapdragon ever manufactured, thus the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be a clear step beyond its siblings in terms of sheer processing power.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo was just approved in China by TENAA, MIIT, and CCC. These certifications confirmed that it, like the Redmi Note 12 Pro, supports 67W fast wired charging.
Specifications we can look forward
The Turbo variant is said to be the first in the Redmi Note series to include an in-display fingerprint sensor. A 6.67-inch FHD+ 120 Hz OLED display, a 50 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultrawide, a 2 MP macro shooter, and a 5,000 mAh battery are all speculated.
Testing and Availability
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo cleared Geekbench today on its route to the launch, with a single-core score of 1,213 and a multi-core score of 3,972. In addition to the SoC, which we previously knew about, the listing indicates that the phone would ship with Android 13. The prototype being tested featured 12GB of Memory, but we expect models with less RAM will be available as well.
