TikTok is testing the ephemeral Stories format to compete with Instagram. TikTok Stories will be a new feature. It will allow creators to post short videos, these will disappear after 24-hours automatically.
These will be similar to how stories work on other social platforms like Instagram and Snapchat offer users.
The Stories format is quite popular on all social media platforms. It has become a fad almost on all apps since it debuted on Snapchat back in 2013. But recently Twitter shut down its Stories feature called Fleets from August 3.
But the TikTok Stories is currently available for a select few users. And it is yet to be confirmed when will TikTok roll out the feature to the public at large in the future.
